Inter Milan enjoyed the best preparation for their Champions League semi-final match against AC Milan on Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Roma in Serie A yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInterNews.

According to the report, Inter impressed with their display at the Stadio Olimpico and it was the latest in a series of strong displays for Simone Inzaghi’s team after a 3-1 win over Lazio and a 6-0 demolition of Hellas Verona.

The Nerazzurri secured the win thanks to goals from Federico Dimarco and Romelu Lukaku, and they have netted 14 goals in their past four league games, whilst only conceding once.

This has seen Inter move from five points behind Roma to five points clear of the Lupi, and they have hit form at the right time ahead of their double-header against Milan for a place in the Champions League final.

Meanwhile, Inter were also praised for showing strong team spirit and being able to capitalise on Roma’s mistakes in a hard-fought game, with that being considered an important factor in their growing confidence ahead of the Milan match.
