Inter Milan’s recent improvement in results has been down to their strikers finding form again after a difficult spell, according to Italian journalist Paolo Condo.

He made these comment when speaking on Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia immediately after Inter had beaten Roma 2-0 in Serie A on Saturday, as reported by Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInter1908,

There, Condo argued that the Nerazzurri’s four consecutive league wins were down to greater output from their attacking players.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have netted 14 goals in their last four games, with a 6-0 thrashing of Hellas Verona, a 3-1 win over Lazio, and a 3-0 success against Empoli preceding the victory against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

“The forwards are finally back because in reality Inter created a lot even before,” Condo declared following the Nerazzurri’s win.

“The big problem for each of the forwards was the absence of goals, we counted how many games each of them had failed to score. Then the dam burst.”

Condo also suggested that Inter were going into Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final first league against rivals AC Milan as favourites thanks to their recent good form in front of goal.

“Right now, Inter are the most in-form team in the league, even more than Napoli. The key match was Empoli, Lukaku got unblocked and from there the dam opened,” he added.

The win over Roma saw Inter maintain their hold on fourth place in Serie A, as they seek to secure qualification for next season’s Champions League.
