Inter Milan’s Argentinean international star striker Lautaro Martinez is adamant the job is not finished after the 2-0 win against AC Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Semi Final at the Stadio San Siro.

Lautaro Martinez spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia immediately after Inter Milan‘s 2-0 win against the Rossoneri in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Semifinal as reported by Milan based Inter Milan news-site FCInterNews.

The Argentina FIFA World Cup champion underlined how although the result is important, the tie is far from over.

Despite Inter Milan leading 2-0 on aggregate, Lautaro belives there’s work to do to reach the Champions League final.

“It’s an important result, but the hard work has just begun. It was the first game and the second game will be special.

“It is a derby and the details always make the difference. We must now think about the upcoming league game and then the return leg,” Lautaro continued.

Lautaro Martinez – Our Attitude The Difference

The striker believes that the Nerazzurri’s attitude made the difference in their first leg win against local rivals A.C. Milan and that there is room to improve for when the two teams meet again in six days time.

“Our attitude was what made the difference. We stepped out there on the field with the right mentality.

“Certainly we have to improve, especially after the way we played in the second half, but we brought home an important result.

“We have to continue like this,” the Argentina FIFA World Cup champion concluded.

Lautaro Martinez, who captained the Nerazzurri in the first leg, has been ever present for Inter Milan this season.

He has featured 49 times across all competitions this season for Inter Milan scoring 23 goals and contributing to another 10 via assists in the process.
