Legendary former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello feels several players in the Inter Milan squad could start for Man City.

The former Real Madrid, Juventus, Roma, and England boss spoke to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, giving his thoughts on the Nerazzurri’s squad.

The possibility of facing Manchester City net month looks to be a concrete one for Inter.

The Nerazzurri have one foot in the Champions League final after beating AC Milan in the first leg of their semifinal tie.

Meanwhile, City played out a 1-1 semifinal first leg draw away to Real Madrid.

If Inter meet City, they will face a team widely considered to be one of the strongest in Europe.

Many see Pep Guardiola’s men as the single best team in world football right now.

The Cityzens’ strength comes from both their organization and tactics as well as individual quality over the pitch.

Accordingly, City would likely be seen as big favourites over Inter by most.

However, former Rossoneri coach Capello feels that the Nerazzurri boast quality that could make it into City’s team.

Calhanoglu & Onana Among Inter Milan Players Who Could Line Up For Man City

Capello gave his views on which Inter players could be at home in Man City’s starting eleven.

“Calhanoglu, definitely, he’s a player with quality,” he said.

“Dzeko is someone who’s already done so,” the former coach noted.

Then Capello named “Lautaro, Onana, and Bastoni.”

“Inter are the strongest team in Italy,” the former coach continued, “at least sticking to the analysis of individual players and the quality of the entire squad.”

“If they play with the intensity they showed in the first half of Wednesday evening, I believe that in a single match they can go toe-to-toe with anyone,” the former Milan coach added.
