Legendary former Lazio, Bayern Munich, and German national team striker Miroslav Klose feels that a comeback in the Champions League will be difficult but not impossible for AC Milan against Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, the German gave his thoughts on how likely a Rossoneri comeback to reach the final would be.

Inter have a solid advantage over Milan from the first leg of their semifinal tie.

However, a two-goal lead is hardly unassailable.

Particularly if the Rossoneri score early on, the entire complexion of the tie could change in an instant.

Milan will have little to lose, and will surely throw the kitchen sink at Inter. Moreover, the Rossoneri should have their star man back in the form of Rafael Leao.

It would be an understatement to say that Inter can’t take anything from granted.

On the other hand, though, the Nerazzurri are still favourites to go through. Not only because of the first leg advantage, but because of the way that both sides played in that match.

Whilst the Rossoneri fought back in the second half, Inter had been by far the better of the two sides during the first period.

Moreover, Inter have also won each of the last three derby matches across all competitions.

Miroslav Klose: Not Impossible AC Milan Could Turn It Around Vs Inter Milan

Ex-Biancocelesti striker and 2014 World Cup winner Klose weighed in on the matter.

“I’ve seen plenty of comebacks in football,” the German said.

“I was at the stadium when Liverpool won 4-0 to turn it around against Barcelona,” he noted. The Reds won 4-0 at Anfield despite a 3-0 defeat in the first leg, reaching the Champions League final which they won in 2019.

Klose predicted that “It would be difficult, but not impossible,” for the Rossoneri to get to the final.
