Tomorrow, the Gazzetta reports, the midfielder will undergo medical tests.

The aim will be to get Mkhitaryan back as soon as possible, but not take any risks with his fitness. Inter still have several decisive matches on the way.

First, there is Serie A.

Inter will have their first of two more chances to compete for silverware against La Viola. They will be keen to defend their crown from last season.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report that Mkhitaryan gave his teammates an early update as he left the pitch. According to the newspaper, the 34-year-old said that he felt a tightness in his quadriceps muscles rather than a tear. This could be a positive sign.
