Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries doesn’t care which of Real Madrid or Manchester City in the Champions League final in Istanbul next month.

Speaking to InterTV, via FCInterNews, the 27-year-old made clear that the Nerazzurri will play to win in the final regardless of which team they come up against.

Now Inter can officially start thinking about who they’ll face in the Champions League final.

The Nerazzurri booked their place in the match with a win over AC Milan in the semifinals.

Inter won’t have to wait long to find out who they’re going to face. City will host Real in the second leg of the other semifinal match in less than 24 hours.

That tie is balanced on the edge of a knife after a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu in the first leg.

Whichever of the two sides Inter come up against, they know they have a hugely difficult match in store. City and Real are regarded as two of European football’s elite.

For his part, however, Dumfries is less focused on that than on Inter’s quality.

Inter Wingback Dumfries: Doesn’t Matter If We Get Real Madrid Or Man City

Asked if he has a preferred opponent from the semifinal, Dumfries replied “No, I don’t have a favourite because I think both teams have quality.”

“We have to think about ourselves because we’re a great team,” he continued. “We’re absolutely capable of having our say.”

Of what reaching the final means, Dumfries said that “It’s a special evening, we feel incredibly happy after this huge milestone.”

“We did a good job, we deserved the win,” he went on.

“I think over these two matches we showed that we deserve to be in the final.”

“It means a lot to the club,” Dumfries said of getting to the Champions League final.

“We’ve had a great tournament so far. Now we’re going to Istanbul to win.”
