Steven Zhang has made clear that next month’s Champions League final against Man City is a match that Inter Milan feel they can win.

Speaking to the Chinese edition of InterTV, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri President projected confidence ahead of the final in Istanbul.

Inter are now three weeks away from playing one of the most important matches in their recent history.

The Nerazzurri have a chance to become European champions for the fourth time in their history. Standing in their way, however, are an imperious Manchester City team.

This will be the toughest of matches for Inter.

However, the Nerazzurri have already had no shortage of difficult matches on the way here.

The likes of Barcelona, Porto, Benfica, and AC Milan have all been dispatched. Moreover, Inter have also hit some of their best form in Serie A recently.

The Nerazzurri can point to league victories against the likes of Napoli, AC Milan, Roma, Lazio, and Atalanta as statements of intent.

Zhang Confident – Man City Not Unbeatable For Inter Milan

For his part, Inter President Zhang believes.

The Nerazzurri President told InterTV that “The players are quite calm in important matches.”

“Lautaro’s goal against Milan was excellent, and the midfield tandem with Mkhitaryan is also excellent,” he continued.

“The fact that we’ve gotten to the final means that our mentality, our tenacity, and our tactical preparations are among the best in Europe,” Zhang argued.

“Regardless of the opponent, Inter are ready to win this final.”

Zhang also spoke about the new stadium issue. Inter and AC Milan are trying to build a new stadium, but face bureaucratic hurdles to do so.

“The new stadium is necessary for the development of both teams and of the city of Milan,” he argued.

“Regardless of whether or not we win the Champions League, we must have our own stadium.”
