Defender Lorenzo Pirola admits playing for Inter Milan would represent a childhood dream for him, but also makes clear that he is ready to stay at Salernitana and forge his path ahead for next season.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Pirola opened up about his future.

Pirola is currently on loan at Salernitana from Inter.

The 21-year-old joined the Granata on loan last summer.

Salernitana can sign Pirola on a permanent basis at the end of the summer. Inter, however, are hoping that there can be a buyback option on the promising defender.

The player’s own desire will also be an important factor.

If Pirola were to make the move to the Campanian club on a permanent basis, it would represent a big step away from his boyhood club Inter.

On the other hand, the 21-year-old could establish himself as first-choice at the Serie A level by doing so.

For his part, Pirola admits that playing a major role for Inter is a longstanding dream. However, at the same time the defender is also ready to commit his future to Salernitana moving for.
