Inter Milan legend Beppe Bergomi expects the Coppa Italia final between the Nerazzurri and Fiorentina to be a high-quality match.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Radio FirenzeViola, via FCInterNews, Bergomi gave his thoughts ahead of tomorrow evening’s final.

Inter and Fiorentina will face off tomorrow at the Stadio Olimpico for a chance to lift the Coppa Italia trophy.

For the Nerazzurri, this represents a chance to go back to back in the competition. Last campaign, the Nerazzurri lifted the trophy after a 4-2 thriller against Juventus, needing extra time to overcome the Bianconeri.

Meanwhile, for La Viola, winning the trophy would really cap off what’s been a positive project under coach Vincenzo Italiano.

Like, the Nerazzurri, this is the first of two chances Fiorentina have to fight for silverware before the season ends.

Inter will face Manchester City in the Champions League final next month. Meanwhile, Fiorentina face an English team in their own major European final.

La Viola will take on West Ham United in the final of the Europa Conference League.

Bergomi Expects Inter To Play Out Balanced Coppa Italia Final Vs Fiorentina

“I expect a balanced and entertaining match to watch,” Bergomi predicted. “Both Vincenzo Italiano and Simone Inzaghi always want their team to impose their style of football.”

“I’m really curious to see how it goes,” he continued.

Of the criticisms both Italiano and Inzaghi have received, Bergomi said that “Maybe, at the beginning of the season, the objectives were different for both of us.”

“Domestic cup wins are important wins,” he continued.

“Fiorentina got back into form when their attackers began scoring,” he noted.

“An important element of this Fiorentina side is the depth of their squad,” he continued. “Very few teams in Serie A have so many players of that quality to call upon.”
