Inter Milan Star To Miss Last Two Serie A Matches Of Season Through Injury

Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa is set to miss the last two matches of the Serie A season against Atalanta and Torino.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who report on the scope of the Argentine’s calf injury.
Inter confirmed today that Correa has suffered a calf strain.
The former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward complained of pain in his leg after the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina. Subsequent medical tests revealed that Correa had suffered a strain to the soleus muscle in his right calf.
Joaquin Correa To Miss Both Atalanta & Torino Clashes
Now, the big question is whether Correa will be able to play again for Inter again this season.
The 28-year-old had been anticipated to start for the Nerazzurri tomorrow against Atalanta, alongside Romelu Lukaku.
However, it now looks abundantly clear that Correa will not be able to play in that match.
Not only that, but the Argentine will also miss the last match of the league season against Torino next weekend as well, according to Sky.
From there, Inter only have one match left – the Champions League final against Manchester City.
There is a real risk that Correa could miss the clash with Man City. Getting fit for that match is is target now that the final two league fixtures look out of the question.
Another Injury Setback For Joaquin Correa At Inter Milan
Injuries have been a theme for Correa ever since he joined Inter from Lazio in the summer of 2021.
The Argentine has made a total of 76 appearances for the Nerazzurri, scoring ten goals in the process.
However, those numbers don’t tell the whole stories.
The Argentine has not had any injuries which have caused him to miss a period of several months. However, several niggling muscle problems have caused him to be sidelined.
Moreover, the sense is that Correa has never really had the chance to build up a head of steam due to injury disruptions.
Whilst there have been one or two glimpses of Correa’s Biancocelesti form, these have been few and far between. Momentum has proven elusive for a player who’s often lacked match-sharpness when he’s played.
Reports suggest that Correa will in all likelihood leave Inter this summer, possibly on loan.
