Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana feels that, win or lose, the Nerazzurri will give absolutely everything against Man City.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews, the Cameroonian stressed that while he can hardly make any promises regarding the result of next month’s Champions League finals, he can assure that the Nerazzurri will “go out and die on the pitch.”

Inter know that they are one match away from winning European club football’s biggest trophy.

Even against a team as strong as Manchester City, a one-off match is certainly unpredictable enough that the Nerazzurri will believe.

On the other hand, of course, the profoundly unpredictable nature of football means that Inter can hardly promise anything.

Once things kick off in Istanbul on June 10, everything Inter have done in the competition so far will be erased. It will come down to one match, and one performance.

Some element of luck will surely play a role. As will the strength of the opposition, particularly against a team as formidable as Pep Guadiola’s Cityzens.

However, motivation will also play a role. And this is something that Nerazzurri keeper Onana assures will not be lacking from he and his teammates.

Andre Onana: Inter Will Give Everything To Beat Man City

“If you remember, the first match that before I played [for Inter] against Bayern Munich, I said that this team could make history,” Onana said.

“After getting out of the group, we beat Porto,” he continued. “And everyone told me that what I said was the truth.”

Onana made clear that “I can’t promise the victory, because City are probably the best team in the world. But I can promise we will go out and die on the pitch.”

Onana also had words for Inter captain Samir Handanovic, saying that “He’s an Inter legend, he’s done great things.”

“Playing for this team for eleven years isn’t easy,” the Cameroonian noted of Handanovic. “My relationship with him is phenomenal. It’s an honour to train with him for me.”
