Inter Milan quartet Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Milan Skriniar, Joaquin Correa, and Danilo D’Ambrosio are all working to be fir for next month’s Champions League final against Man City.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who update on the progress of the four Nerazzurri players’ recovery.

Inter’s squad have been given the past couple days off following Saturday’s win over Atalanta.

However, midfielder Mkhitaryan and defender Skriniar are currently working to recover from injuries at the Nerazzurri’s training ground.

Good Chance Mkhitaryan & Skriniar Fit For Man City Clash

According to the Gazzetta, the prospect of Mkhitaryan recovering from his thigh injury for the final in Istanbul is good.

Meanwhile, Skriniar is aiming to be fit as early as next weekend against Torino.

Coach Simone Inzaghi predicted that there would be a good chance that the Slovakian could return against the Granata.

Skriniar has been recovering from lumbar spine surgery that he received last month. The 28-year-old’s recovery is coming along well, though.

According to the Gazzetta, there is a strong chance that Skriniar will be fit for the league match against Torino.

The former Sampdoria defender’s aim would be to come on as a substitute late on against the Granata. That way, he can have some playing time in his legs ahead of the final against City.

Joaquin Correa Still Working To Recover From Calf Injury

Then, there is forward Joaquin Correa.

The 28-year-old is recovering from a calf injury that he sustained whilst playing as a substitute in the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina last week.

According to the Gazzetta, Correa is still struggling as he does physiotherapy work to try and recover from his injury.

It looks like something of a race against time for the former Lazio forward to be ready for the clash with City.

Lastly, veteran defender D’Ambrosio had to come off as a substitute during the match against Atalanta on Saturday.

According to the Gazzetta, if it is the case that the 34-year-old was only suffering from cramp, then he will be fit and available as next weekend’s match against Torino.
