Torino have offered Inter Milan €4 million to sign wingback Valentino Lazaro on a permanent basis this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Granata have offered less than the purchase option in Lazaro’s loan deal, but are hoping that it will be enough to convince the Nerazzurri to sell him.

At the moment, Lazaro is only at Torino on loan from Inter.

The Granata have a purchase option worth €6 million in the loan deal. That option is only valid until June 16, however, Tuttosport reports.

Torino Ask Inter Milan For Discount To Sign Valentino Lazaro

Torino do want to sign the Austrian on a permanent basis, although not for the fee specified by their purchase option.

The Piedmontese club will try and negotiate Inter down to a discount to get a deal done. Torino’s hope is that Lazaro will make clear to Inter that he wants to stay and play under Ivan Juric, and that this will be enough to convince the Nerazzurri to finally sell him permanently.

At the moment, Lazaro is out injured. This means that he will not be able to face his parent club Inter in Serie A over the weekend.

Lazaro Could Finally Leave Inter Milan For Good

Lazaro joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019.

However, things never quite worked out for the Austrian at the San Siro.

Torino are the fourth club who Lazaro has been on loan with since joining Inter from Hertha in the summer of 2019.

In the second half of his first season at the Nerazzurri, Lazaro went out on loan to Newcastle United.

Then, the Austrian returned to the Bundesliga to play for Borussia Monchengladbach. Last season, Lazaro played on loan for Benfica.

Now, it looks as though Lazaro could finally make the move away from Inter for good.

However, the 27-year-old will not have the chance to play against the Nerazzurri next weekend due to an injury.
