Italian agent Giovanni Branchini believes that it’s still far too early to say much about the future of Barcelona linked Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic this summer.

Speaking to the media, as reported by FCInterNews, Branchini noted that it’s still very early in the transfer window.

Marcelo Brozovic signed a contract extension last spring with Inter. Despite this his future is the subject of much speculation.

Having been a vital player for the Nerazzurri last season, the Croat’s importance has seemingly diminished a bit. Injuries have meant that Inter have had to cope without Brozovic for long spells.

In his absence, Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as a starting-quality option in the centre of the pitch. Moreover, Kristjan Asllani’s presence at the club means that there is a long-term succession plan in place.

Finally, reports suggest that the relationship between Brozovic and Inter has become tense. Disagreements over the management of his injuries have particularly been a factor in this sense.

If Marcelo Brozovic were to really leave Inter Milan, La Liga Champions Barcelona are reportedly very keen on him.

Widespread reports suggest that the Nerazzurri and the Blaugranas have discussed the possibility of a player swap deal with Brozovic moving to the Camp Nou and former AC Milan man Franck Kessie coming the other way.

Agent Puts The Brakes On Speculation About Barcelona Linked Inter Star Marcelo Brozovic

Italian agent Branchini has poured a bit of cold water on all the talk about Brozovic’s future, however. The agent was asked about the Croat’s situation at the Nerazzurri.

“To date, there’s nothing serious in terms of the transfer market,” he said in response.

“There are some negotiations involving free agents,” Branchini noted.

“But otherwise a lot of situations are still in the balance, including coaches.

“It’s still very early,” Giovanni Branchini concluded.
