Both of Inter Milan defenders Milan Skriniar and Danilo D’Ambrosio are set to be fit for Saturday’s clash with Torino.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that both of the pair will be part of the squad for the Nerazzurri’s final match of the league season away to the Granata.

It has been some time since Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has had a full compliment of defenders at his disposal.

The absence of Milan Skriniar through a back injury has meant that the coach has had to cope without the Slovakian.

However, Inzaghi has been anticipating for some time that Skriniar could be back as early as this weekend.

The 28-year-old underwent back surgery last month. However, he has been working on his recovery, and according to the Corriere has returned to fitness.

Skriniar was back in training earlier this week, along with the rest of the team after they had had a few days off following last Saturday’s clash with Atalanta.

Skriniar & D’Ambrosio Both Fit For Torino Vs Inter Clash

Now, Skriniar is back and he will be ready for this Saturday’s match against Torino. However, he is not the only one.

Joining the former Sampdoria defender is Danilo D’Ambrosio.

The 34-year-old had had to come off as a substitute during the second half of Inter’s win over Atalanta.

However, the problem is not serious. D’Ambrosio will also be fit enough to be part of the squad to face his old side Torino.

This means that, along with Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and Alessandro Bastoni, Inzaghi will be able to select from all of his senior defenders, both in terms of the starting eleven and from the bench.

Moreover, Saturday’s match could serve as an opportunity for Skriniar to gain match fitness ahead of the Champions League final.
