Former AC Milan coach Fatih Terim feels that Inter Milan won’t make life easy for Man City in the Champions League final.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, Terim also praised the growth of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Inter are now just a couple of days away from the Champions League final in Istanbul.

Legendary Turkish coach Terim is anticipating seeing what they can do.

The coach has a history with Serie A, having been in charge of both the Rossoneri and also Fiorentina.

Terim is best associated with Turkish football, however. He played for Galatasaray as a defender, making over four hundred appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, the 69-year-old has been in charge of Galatasaray on four separate occasions, totalling well over a decade.

Terim has also been at the helm of the Turkish national team on two occasions, lasting several years apiece.

Terim: Inter Milan Can Do It Against Man City, Calhanoglu A Great Player

Asked if he believes that Inter can win the final, Terim replied “I believe that they can do it.”

“I’m expecting a great final,” the legendary Turkish coach continued.

Terim also gave his thoughts on the growth of Nerazzurri midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

“I coached him with the national team,” Terim noted of the former Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder.

“I know him well, he gets better with every match.”

“Now he plays in a different role,” Terim said of Calhanoglu. “He’s a great player because he’s smart enough to do a number of different things on the pitch.”

Calhanoglu made the switch to Inter from city rivals Milan in the summer of 2021, joining on a free transfer. This season in particular, the Turkish international has proven to be a key player for the Nerazzurri.

“They won’t make life easy for City, particularly because it’s a final,” Terim added.
