Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa has made his return to full training ahead of the Champions League final against Man City on Saturday.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Argentine will be available for Saturday’s final.

Former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward Correa has been a doubt for Saturday’s final.

The 28-year-old had picked up a thigh injury during the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia final victory over Fiorentina.

Correa had come on as a substitute late during that match. The player complained of some pain in his right leg during his appearance.

Subsequent medical tests confirmed that Correa had suffered a strain to the soleus muscles in his right leg during the match.

Since then, the question has been whether or not Correa would be ready to play in the Champions League final.

Inter Star Joaquin Correa Will Be Available To Play In UCL Final Vs Man City

Correa has not played in either of Inter’s final two league matches of the season, against Atalanta and Torino.

However, the target for the 28-year-old was always to try and return for this weekend’s final against City.

Given that Correa could well leave Inter during the summer transfer window, that final may well prove to be his last match at the club.

According to the Gazzetta, there is now little question that Correa will be part of the Inter squad for the final. The Argentine made a full return to training with the rest of his teammates in today’s session.

This certainly does not necessarily mean that Correa will start the match. There is virtually zero of chance whether or not he is fit.

However, the 28-year-old will be one more resource for Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi to call upon in the final.

Meanwhile, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also fit for the match. This means that Inzaghi will have his entire squad to call upon.
