After two years at PSG, Achraf Hakimi is reportedly pushing for a return to Inter Milan where he had previously won a Scudetto title under the guidance of Antonio Conte in the 2020/21 campaign.

The 24-year-old is a Real Madrid youth product who joined the Bianconeri in 2020 for 43 million euros following a successful loan stint at Borussia Dortmund.

The Moroccan swiftly imposed himself at the Giuseppe Meazza, becoming the consensus best right-back in Serie A. Nonetheless, Inter’s financial problems prompted a sale to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.

But according to Libero via FcInterNews, Hakimi is eager to leave PSG and return to Inter Milan. The source explains how the wingback remains fond of his time at Appiano Gentile.

However, the main hurdle for the Nerazzurri remains forging an offer that would satisfy PSG. The French champions splashed 68 million for the player’s services two years ago, so they won’t be willing to release him unless they receive a lucrative bid.

This season, the former Real Madrid man contributed with five goals and six assists in his 39 appearances across all competitions.

On another note, the same source also reports that Inter will resume talks with Monza for Carlos Augusto. The 24-year-old was one of the revelations of the Serie A campaign, scoring six goals in his maiden season in the Italian top flight.

The left wingback would replace Robin Gosens who currently serves as Federico Dimarco’s understudy at Inter. The report claims that the German has several suitors in his home nation, so a transfer to the Bundesliga could be on the cards.
