Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is still feeling the emotions of a disappointing Champions League final loss.
The Nerazzurri gave everything they had against Manchester City final. At times, they looked like they were more than capable of defying their doubters and taking the trophy.
However, in the end, City won the match by a narrow 1-0 scoreline. This has left Inter reflecting on what could have been.
Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanboglu took to Instagram with a message to the club’s fans.
He writes:
“It was an honour to play in a Champions League final in my country.”
“We did our best to win it but it wasn’t enough.”
“Thanks to our fans who supported us unconditionally along the way, and thanks to the fans of Turkey who are always supporting me.”
