Inter Milan have made their asking price for goalkeeper Andre Onana clear as Chelsea get ready to push to sign him.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri want €70 million for the Cameroonian.

Inter and Chelsea are gearing up for a round of transfer talks soon.

Chief among the topics to be discussed will be goalkeeper Onana.

Despite only having spent one season at Inter after joining on a free transfer from Ajax last summer, Chelsea already want the 27-year-old.

The Blues are looking to bring in a new first-choice goalkeeper. Onana has always been their number one target.

The Gazzetta report that Chelsea director Behdad Eghbali was at the Champions League final between Inter and Manchester City.

According to the newspaper, Eghbali was very impressed with what he saw from Onana in particular. The Cameroonian’s performance in the final only solidified the Chelsea director’s view that he will be a key target for this summer.

Inter Milan Want €70M For Chelsea Target Andre Onana

Now, it will be up to Chelsea to try and convince Inter to waver with a big cash offer.

According to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have made very clear that Onana will not come cheap.

The price tag for the 27-year-old will be around €70 million. However, the newspaper suggest, Inter could go down from that valuation.

If Chelsea are to get within around €10 million of the Nerazzurri’s asking price, they could get a deal done.

Whilst Inter are hardly keen to part with Onana, there are still financial considerations at the club. Onana is a player who arrived on a free transfer last summer and could fetch a very substantial capital gain.

Now the ball is in Chelsea’ court, the Gazzetta’s suggests. The Premier League giants are gearing up to push to sign the Cameroonian, and only time will tell if they can do so.
