This summer, Inter Milan will be looking to bolster their ranks with some renowned profiles which could possibly include the likes of Benjamin Pavard, Roberto Firmino and Mateo Retegui.

Despite the lack of transfer funds, the Nerazzurri directors will attempt to snatch the services of several star players who would be able to bolster Simone Inzaghi’s squad ahead of next season.

According to La Repubblica via FcInterNews, the Inter shortlist features the likes of Pavard, Firmino and Retegui.

We begin with the Frenchman whose contract with Bayern Munich will expire in 2024. The 2018 World Cup winner is a versatile defender who can play either at centre-back or right-back.

Therefore, Pavard would be a perfect fit in Inzaghi’s back three, effectively replacing the departing Milan Skriniar on the right-hand side.

As for Firmino, he’ll become a free agent once his Liverpool contract expires at the end of the month.

The Brazilian spent eight successful campaigns at Anfield. The fans appreciate his high work ethic in addition to his versatility.

On the other hand, Retegui offers a younger alternative to the 31-year-old. The Italo-Argentine is enjoying a remarkable spell on loan at Tigre from Boca Juniors.

The 24-year-old has now become an Italian international player. He scored two goals in his first two international caps, including a strike against England.

As for Inter’s current players, the source expects Francesco Acerbi to remain on a permanent basis. For his part, Stefan de Vrij is close to signing a new two-year contract.

On the other hand, Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa could both be heading towards the exit door, with Fenerbahce showing interest in the attacking duo.
