Inter Milan’s primary transfer target Davide Frattesi would reportedly reject any approach from the Premier League, as he intends to ply his trade in Serie A next term.

Following two impressive campaigns at Sassuolo, the 23-year-old is ready to make a career step up and he has no shortage of suitors.

As Il Corriere dello Sport (via FcInter1908) explains, Inter, Roma and Juventus are all in the race to sign the Italian international.

The source claims that the box-to-box midfielder is keen to stay at home, even if it means rejecting the EPL riches.

The former Monza player doesn’t feel ready to make a transfer to a foreign club. He prefers to stay in Serie A and sign for a club that allows him to play European football.

The report adds that Sassuolo will start the auction with a price tag of 40 million euros slapped on the player’s back.

While Lazio and Maurizio Sarri are also keeping tabs on the situation, the source believes that the high valuation will off ward the capital side.

Earlier today, news reports claimed that Sassuolo and Inter had an agreement in principle for the transfer of the young international midfielder.

Nevertheless, the Nerazzurri might have to fund the transfer by selling some of their players.

So until they reach the finish line, Inter will still face stern competition in the race for Frattesi, either from the Premier League or domestic clubs.
