After lifting the U20 World Cup trophy, the agent of Fabricio Diaz opens the door for a potential transfer to Inter Milan.

The young midfielder was a part of the Uruguay U20 squad that beat Italy U20 in the World Cup final last Sunday.

Interestingly, the 20-year-old also holds Italian citizenship which should facilitate a transfer to Serie A

Moreover, Martin Rodriguez Nader, the agent who represents the youngster dwelled on his excellent relationships with several top Italian clubs, including Inter.

“I don’t like to talk about specific clubs or names. It’s a matter of respect,” said the representative in his interview with FcInter1908.

“However, there are several clubs in Europe that are interested in my client, but I prefer to keep it confidential.

“Inter is a club that is very close to us (his agency). The same goes for Juventus, Roma, Torino, Milan and others.”

Nevertheless, Rodriguez Nader insists that Inter Milan – and all the other Serie A clubs for that matter – are yet to present a concrete offer for Fabricio Diaz.

But the agent believes that the player’s Italian nationality would certainly help him make a smooth switch to Europe.

“For now there are no concrete offers from any Italian club.

“Thanks to his mother’s Italian origins, he will be able to obtain a European passport. But at the moment this document isn’t ready just yet.”
