Inter Milan have reportedly slapped a valuation of 100 million euros on their star midfielder Nicolò Barella.

In recent days, the Italian emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United who have recently secured their long-awaited return to the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Premier League standings.

But while the Magpies will be looking to bolster their ranks ahead of a busy campaign, the Nerazzurri aren’t willing to part ways with the 26-year-old, barring a genuinely astronomical offer.

According to SportMediaset via FcInterNews, Inter Milan value Nicolò Barella at 100 million euros. The Italian giants won’t entertain any offers below this figure.

Therefore, Newcastle’s offer of 60 million euros falls way off the mark. The new mega rich club would have to vastly improve their proposal if they intend to launch serious negotiations for the services of the Euro 2020 winner.

This offer renders the Sardinian midfielder virtually non-transferable. He joined Inter in 2019 for almost 50 million euros after rising through the ranks at Cagliari.

Barella swiftly established himself as a key figure in Antonio Conte’s starting lineup. Nowadays, he continues to develop his game under the guidance of Simone Inzaghi.

This season, the midfielder made 52 appearances across all competitions, contributing with nine goals and 10 assists.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri consider the former Cagliari man a genuine candidate to inherit the captaincy. The club’s supporters would also hope to tie him up for as long as possible.
