Inter Milan are ready to send young striker Samuele Mulattieri to Sassuolo as part of a deal for Davide Frattesi.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that 22-year-old Mulattieri is set to return to the Nerazzurri from Frosinone before joining the Neroverdi as part of a deal for Frattesi.

As part of their loan deal for Mulattieri this season, Frosinone have the option to sign the 22-year-old on a permanent basis. They can do so for a fee of €4.5 million.

There is no question of Frosinone’s desire to trigger the option and sign Mulattieri permanently.

However, Inter will make sure to bring the young striker back immediately. The Nerazzurri have a buyback option on Mulattieri worth the same amount Frosinone will pay for him plus an additional million euros.

Given the way that the 22-year-old’s value has risen this season, Inter don’t want to simply cash in on him for Frosinone’s purchase option.

Rather, the Gazzetta reports, the Nerazzurri have another plan.

Inter Milan To Send Samuele Mulattieri To Sassuolo As Part Of Davide Frattesi Deal

Inter are pushing to sign Sasuolo midfielder Frattesi

The Neroverdi are open to selling the 23-year-old, who is a target Juventus and Roma. However, as is their modus operandi, the Emilians will only sell for the right price.

On the other hand, Inter know full well that Sassuolo could waver at the offer of a young player in return.

The Emilians are fans of Mulattieri. Given their penchant for signing younger players and developing them, the 22-year-old is a natural target.

Accordingly, Inter are ready to give up Mulattieri as part of a deal for Frattesi.

Whilst the former is a player they’re willing to part ways with, the latter is someone they want to build around.
