Inter Milan wingback Valentino Lazaro is likely to move to a team in the Bundesliga.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that Torino have declined a purchase option to make the 27-year-old’s loan deal permanent, and that his most likely next move is a return to Germany.

Wingback Lazaro spent the entirety of the season just gone on loan from Inter at Torino.

The Granata had a purchase option to sign Lazaro on a permanent basis. Reports suggested that the Piedmontese club were interested in doing so, although they wanted a discount to do so.

However, Tuttosport report, Torino are not in fact going to sign the Austrian permanently.

The newspaper reports that Lazaro already said his goodbyes to his Granata teammates. The wingback was aware that the last match of the Serie A season against his parent club Inter was his last with Torino.

Accordingly, Lazaro will go in search of a new club for next season.

Inter will also be very much keen to get Lazaro’s future sorted out. The Austrian is under contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of next June.

An extension would certainly not be possible for Lazaro, who has no place in the plans at Inter.

Accordingly, Inter will have to sell Lazaro on a permanent basis this summer, or else lose him for free next summer.

According to Tuttosport, the most likely next move for Lazaro is a move to the Bundesliga.

The Austrian had joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019.

He also spent a season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach in the German top flight.

Apart from these two clubs, Lazaro played for the likes of Newcastle United and Benfica on loan since joining Inter.
