Al-Nassr want to sign Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to join Cristiano Ronaldo, and will make their offer next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Saudi Pro League giants’ offer is on the way for the 30-year-old Croatian international.

Al-Nassr are ready to continue the summer of spending on big name players from European football that they and the other big clubs within the Saudi Pro League have been embarking on.

Inter midfielder Brozovic is now on their radar. According to the Gazzetta, the Saudi team will make their offer to both Inter and to the player and his representatives next week.

Signing a player of Brozovic’s calibre would certainly represent a coup for Al-Nassr.

The Croat could join legendary former Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus forward Ronaldo at the club.

In addition to the Portuguese international, several big names from European football currently play for Al-Nassr.

Former Bayern Munich and Wolsfburg midfielder Luis Gustavo is one. As are ex-Napoli and Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina and former Besiktas man Anderson Talisca.

Al-Nasser Want Inter Milan Star Marcelo Brozovic

A few months ago, Inter selling Brozovic would’ve looked unthinkable. However, now the midfielder’s future with the Nerazzurri looks up in the air.

On the one hand, the 30-year-old’s quality is up for debate. When fit, he has continued to prove to be an effective metronome, for club and country.

The Croat started in the Champions League final against Manchester City for Inter.

On the other hand, Brozovic has had an injury-hit campaign for Inter. As the team scrambled for solutions in his absence, Hakan Calhanoglu emerged as a starting-quality regista option.

Moreover, a rift has reportedly formed between Brozovic and Inter. Management of the midfielder’s injuries are reportedly central to the reason for this.
