Manchester United are looking at Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana as well as Porto’s Diogo Costa and Brentford’s David Raya as possible targets to replace David De Gea.

This according to UK-based news outlet Manchester Evening News, who report that De Geat is edging towards the exit door, and that the Red Devils are starting their search for a replacement.

As things stand, 32-year-old Spanish international De Gea’s contract with United expires at the end of this month.

The Premier League giants have been trying to agree an extension with the ex-Atletico Madrid star.

However, according to MEN, that is looking increasingly improbable. Accordingly, De Gea could leave Old Trafford on a free transfer this summer.

Moreover, Dean Henderson could join Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal. As such, there is little question that the Red Devils will want to sign a goalkeeper if De Gea leaves.

Inter’s Onana On Man United List Of Possible David De Gea Replacements

According to MEN, United do not yet have a firm plan for who they will target as a first-choice goalkeeper.

However, the Premier League side do have a few ideas in mind.

Inter keeper Onana is one. The Cameroonian has enjoyed a stellar season in his first season at the San Siro.

Onana’s form in the Champions League has particularly won him admirers.

MEN note that Onana had worked with United coach Erik Ten Hag at Ajax. However, in the Dutch coach’s final season in charge, Onana was not really in favour, making just eight appearances.

This partly owed to the fact that Onana had been out of action due to a controversial one-year doping ban.

Meanwhile, MEN also name Porto and Portugal star Costa as a possible target for United.

Brentford’s Raya is also reportedly on the Red Devils’ radar. However, MEN reports, the Spaniard is likelier to join Tottenham Hotspur than United.
