Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring young Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and experienced Bayern Munich custodian Yann Sommer.

This is according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, who claims that the Nerazzurri are keeping tabs on the two shot-stoppers.

Mamardashvili is a 22-year-old Georgian who has been making a name for himself at Valencia since 2021. He’s also an international goalkeeper and a part of an exciting young Georgian generation led by Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Aside from Mamardashvili, Inter Milan are also interested in the vastly experienced Sommer. The 34-year-old joined Bayern last summer as a replacement for the injured Manuel Neuer.

But once the German international returns to full fitness, the Swiss goalkeeper might struggle for playing time at the Allianz Arena.

As the source explains, the Nerazzurri still have the formidable André Onana among their ranks, but a lucrative offer could tempt them to sell.

The report also claims that the Cameroonian’s original first-choice replacement would have been Guglielmo Vicario. However, the Empoli custodian is now on the cusp of joining Tottenham Hotspur.

Therefore, Inter Milan would reportedly resort to either Mamardashvili or Sommer if they were to lose the services of Onana.

The source believes that the latter might end up reuniting with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Haag at Manchester United.

Moreover, longtime club captain Samir Handanovic will leave the Beneatama this summer following a legendary stint at Appiano Gentile.
