The agent of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrè Onana was reportedly in Manchester today for a meeting with Man Utd officials.

The Cameroonian joined the Nerazzurri last summer, completing a free transfer from Ajax.

After serving as an understudy for Samir Handanovic for a few months, the 27-year-old usurped the Slovenian veteran to become Inter’s Number One.

However, the club’s dire finances could force them to sell one or more of their key players to fund the upcoming transfer market. The scintillating custodian seems to be on top of the list.

So according to Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via FcInterNews), the agent of Andrè Onana held a meeting with Man Utd on Thursday. The two parties discussed a potential transfer.

But as the transfer market expert explains, Inter Milan won’t entertain any offers below 50 million euros plus significant bonuses.

Moreover, the future of David De Gea could intertwine with Onana’s. The Spaniard could leave Old Trafford as a free agent following more than a decade of service.

So if the Red Devils fail to agree a renewal with their longtime shot-stopper, they will go all-in for the Nerazzurri custodian.

Onana would reunite with his former Ajax manager Erik Ten Haag who’s currently in charge at United.

This season, the Cameroonian international made 41 appearances for Inter Milan across all competitions. He conceded 36 goals in the process and collected 19 clean sheets.
