Union Berlin are looking to secure the services of Inter Milan wingback Robin Gosens this summer. The two clubs could find an agreement based on one of three possible formulas.
As we reported earlier today, the Bundesliga club has reached a full agreement with the German player over personal terms.
Nevertheless, the new Champions League boys still need to find an accord with the Nerazzurri over the method of the transfer.
According to Bild via FcInterNews, there seem to be three possible formulas on the table.
The first hypothesis would see the wingback complete a dry loan. In this case, the Nerazzurri will have to contribute to the 28-year-old’s salary.
The second possibility is an initial loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
The source notes that Bayer Leverkusen proposed a similar formula to this one last season. But their attempts were to no avail, as Inter refused the offer.
Inter Milan and Union Berlin Will Have To Agree On A Formula To Finalize The Transfer Of Gosens
Finally, the third possibility would be the Nerazzurri’s ideal solution: a permanent sale. However, this would require a fee between 15 and 20 million euros, which could be worth Union Berlin’s entire budget for the summer.
Therefore, we shall wait and see how this transfer saga will play out at the end of the day.
Gosens joined Inter Milan in January 2022. However, his time at Giuseppe Meazza has been marred by injuries and inconsistent performances. He spent his campaign serving as an understudy for Federico Dimarco.
