Man United are in pole position to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, but they must first offload as many as thirteen players.

This according to UK tabloid the Daily Mail, via FCInterNews, who name several fringe players from the Red Devils’ squad who they’ll want to shift on before they can seal a deal to sign Onana.

At the moment, United’s pursuit of Onana looks to be a will-they-or-won’t-they situation.

The Red Devils are clearly interested. The Cameroonian appears to be their priority target to replace David De Gea if the Spaniard doesn’t sign a new contract.

However, Inter will certainly demand a large fee to consider selling Onana. The 27-year-old has been a key player for the Nerazzurri during the season just gone and they would take some convincing to sell him.

Reportedly, Inter want a minimum of €50 million if they’re to sell Onana.

Accordingly, United will have to weigh up whether or not they’re willing to invest that match to reunited the former Ajax man with his old coach Erik Ten Hag.

Revealed – Which Players Man United Must Jettison To Sign Andre Onana From Inter

A big factor in United’s decision could be whether they manage to sell some fringe players.

Should the Premier League giants lighten their squad and wage bill, a move for Onana could be within reach.

This would particularly be the case if United can bring in transfer fees for some of these unwanted players.

On the other hand, if the Red Devils’ squad remains bloated, then moving for Onana could prove difficult. In that case, United would be unlikely to make an offer high enough for Inter to accept.

The Daily Mail lists the following players as potential outgoings who could allow United to sign Onana:

Jadon Sancho, HJarry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Dean Henderson, Donny van de Beek, Anthony Elanga, Fred, Alex Telles, Eric Bailly.

In addition, United could also jettison a few youth team players. Namely, Hannibal Mejbri, Brandon Williams, and Zinedine Iqbal.
