Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni will soon extend his contract with the club. The 24-year-old’s agent Tullio Tinti revealed the news.
A host of journalists caught the representative leaving the club’s headquarters at Viale della Liberazione on Thursday and bombarded him with questions.
Tinti didn’t deny the reason behind his visit. He revealed that he and the Nerazzurri officials were discussing the contract extension of Bastoni.
In what should be delightful news for the club’s supporters, Tinti told the reporters that the agreement has reached its final stages.
“We are in the final stages of renewing Bastoni’s contract,” admitted the player’s agent as reported by FcInterNews.
“In the next few days we will find a way to do things in the right way. We are in the final stretch.”
Inter Milan Have Reached An Agreement With Alessandro Bastoni Over A Contract Renewal
This will be a major relief for the Nerazzurri supporters. This imminent renewal means avoiding another scenario similar to Milan Skriniar’s saga.
The club failed to renew the Slovakian’s contract, so he will join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent this summer.
Nevertheless, Bastoni will apparently linger at Inter Milan beyond his current deal (expiring in 2024). The Italian international is a youth product of Atalanta who joined Inter in 2017.
In addition to Bastoni’s situation, Tinti also discussed matters related to some of his other clients.
He believes that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi should be rewarded with an improved contract.
“He Surely he has shown that he is a great coach, so it is only right that he gets gratified.”
The agent also revealed that Inter are one of the clubs monitoring Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero.
“Audero has shown that he has a lot of quality, he is monitored by Inter and others.
