Villarreal have inquired about the availability of young Inter Milan winger Enoch Owusu for this summer transfer window.
This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the La Liga side have asked for information about the 18-year-old Italian youth international, and could aim to sign him for the upcoming season.
Owusu has been one of the bright lights of Inter’s Primavera side over the season just gone.
In January, the Nerazzurri extended Owusu‘s contract, aware of the interest in his signature. Inter do not want to get into a situation where the player decides to leave from their youth academy to join a club where he’ll get regular senior football, similar to that of Willy Gnonto.
FCIN report that after his most recent extension, Owusu is under contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of June 2025.
However, that hardly means that there isn’t interest in signing the teenager.

According to TMW, the initial contacts between Villarreal and Inter have started.
Thus far, the talks have not progressed very far. However, the line of communication is open and the Nerazzurri are aware of the Spanish club’s interest in signing their youth team star.
Also unclear is what kind of valuation that Inter would place on Owusu.
The Italian youth international, who has made appearances for the Azzurri up to the Under-18 level, is still a ways away from breaking into the Inter first team level.
However, Owusu has starred for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side.
During the season just gone, the 18-year-old made 42 appearances in all competitions for the Primavera team. He managed to score nine goals and make three assists in the process.
It is unlikely to be too long before Owusu is able to make the step up to senior football. Whether that is with Inter or somewhere else.
