Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali insists that his club is yet to receive a satisfying offer for Inter Milan and AS Roma transfer target Davide Frattesi.

The 23-year-old has cemented himself as one of the best up-and-coming midfielders in Serie A over the last couple of years.

The Nerazzurri have identified the Italy international as their primary candidate in the middle of the park. For their part, the Giallorossi remain in the race, as they try to lure their youth product back to the Eternal City.

Nevertheless, Carnevali reveals that the proposals on the table remain off the mark. The Neroverdi executive says his club wouldn’t mind keeping Frattesi if Inter and Roma fail to meet their price tag.

“Today the transfer market begins in this fantastic setting. So let’s see who will pull off this masterstroke,” said Carnevali in an interview with Sportmediaset via FcInterNews.

Sassuolo CEO Carnevali Tells Inter Milan and As Roma To Their Offer For Davide Frattesi

“We will meet Inter, but also many other clubs. We are still at the beginning of the Mercato. We will see what will happen.

“Right now, several clubs have the possibility of signing Frattesi. Not just Inter and Roma.

“But I can confirm that the proposals we received haven’t satisfied us. We believe that Frattesi’s value is higher.

“We are in a good financial shape. We made important sales last year. Therefore, if there are enticing opportunities to sell, we’ll take them. Otherwise we will continue with Frattesi next season.”
