Man Utd and Inter Milan will reportedly discuss the potential transfer of André Onana tonight. The Red Devils will launch their first official bid for the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

The Premier League giants are looking to replace their long-serving custodian David De Gea who could leave Old Trafford this summer as a free agent.

The English club has identified Onana as the ideal replacement. As we reported yesterday, Man United manager Erik ten Hag is hoping to reunite with his old Ajax pupil.

So according to Sky Sport journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio (via FcInterNews), Man Utd will present Inter with their first offer for Onana on Friday evening.

Following a period of inquiries, the negotiations have now reached the more concrete phase.

As Di Marzio explains, the Nerazzurri are hoping that United’s initial offer meet their asking price.

The Serie A giants are looking to collect at least 50 million euros to part ways with their prized asset, in addition to bonuses.

So if the Red Devils meet these figures from the get-go, we can expect the negotiations to reach a satisfying ending sooner rather than later.

But if the English club’s offer falls short of expectations, then this transfer saga could drag for additional weeks.

Onana joined Inter Milan as a free agent last summer. He quickly cemented himself as the first-choice goalkeeper in Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order.

The 27-year-old produced some stellar performances last season. His heroics were instrumental in the club’s memorable run towards the Champions League final.
