Man Utd are reportedly preparing a lucrative bid for Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana. But will it be enough to sway the Nerazzurri?

The Red Devils have identified the 27-year-old as the primary target to replace David De Gea. The Spaniard could leave Old Trafford as a free agent following the expiry of his contract.

So according to Sportitalia journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedullà, Man Utd will present Inter Milan with a large opening bid for Onana.

The Italian journalist claims the proposal will include a fixed transfer fee between 45 and 48 million euros. Moreover, the bonuses will be between five and six million. Thus, this could take the total up to 54 million.

Nevertheless, the Nerazzurri deem it insufficient. As Pedullà explains, the Italian giants would like to collect a figure close to 60 million.

Therefore, Inter are holding out for an offer that includes a fixed fee of at least 50 million euros in addition to some easily achievable bonuses.

Selling Onana would unlock the club’s transfer campaign. It would provide some important fresh funds to spend on several transfer targets.

Pedullà names Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin as a potential replacement for the possibly-departing Cameroonian goalkeeper.

He also believes that the Nerazzurri can reinvest some of the cash collected from the operation on signing Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian’s loan stint from Chelsea has expired today. However, the striker is hoping to extend his stay at Inter.
