Inter Milan could hijack a move by city rivals AC Milan to sign Japanese international midfielder Daichi Kamada on a free transfer.

This according to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have been offered the chance to sign the 26-year-old as the Rossoneri continue to stall on wrapping up a deal for his signature.

For some time, it has looked as though Kamada would join Milan on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old’s deal with Eintracht Frankfurt is now officially expired. He is no longer under contract with the Bundesliga club as of the end of last month.

By all reports, Milan had been working to sign Kamada on a free transfer. They secured a personal agreement with the player and his representatives to join on a free transfer.

That was, however, whilst Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara had been handling transfers at the club.

Inter Milan Could Swoop In Ahead Of AC Milan To Sign Daichi kamada

According to DAZN, however, Milan are still stalling on the deal.

The Rossoneri have yet to finish up a deal for Kamada despite the expectation that they would do so in due time.

DAZN report that the reason for this is that the Rossoneri are reluctant to use up a non-EU slot.

This could give Inter the opportunity to move in. According to DAZN, Kamada’s agents have already spoken with the Nerazzurri.

The Japanese international and his representatives are growing impatient with how long Milan’s pursuit has gone on without actually making it official.

As such, Inter could take advantage of the situation as Kamada begins to also listen to other offers.

It remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri would actually consider the Japanese international a target, however.

Inter will, in any event, need to make one or two midfield signings this summer.
