Inter Milan would reportedly swoop for Leeds United youngster Wilfried Gnonto if Joaquin Correa leaves in the summer.

The Argentine enjoyed a memorable stint at Lazio but has thus far failed to replicate the same form at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The 28-year-old accompanied Simone Inzaghi in his switch from the Italian capital to Milano in 2021. Although his contract runs until 2025, his future remains shrouded with mystery.

So according to Sportitalia via FcInterNews, Inter Milan would target Gnonto if Correa were to leave the club this summer.

The 19-year-old is a Nerazzurri youth product who rose through the club’s ranks before joining FC Zurich in 2020.

The young striker made a name for himself in Switzerland before earning a call-up to the Italian national team. He became a regular inclusion in Roberto Mancini’s squad.

Last summer, Leed United won the race for the young man’s signature. But following their relegation to the English Championship, Gnonto could be looking for an escape rope.

Inter Milan Would Attempt To Replace Joaquin Correa With Leeds United Youngster Wilfried Gnonto

The source claims that Inter would like to bring back the Italian starlet on an initial loan deal with the right to buy.

However, the report warns the Nerazzurri of competition coming from Premier League clubs, namely Aston Villa and Everton.

Gnonto has 12 senior international caps to his name, scoring a single goal for the Azzurri.
