Inter Milan Milan want to pair young Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin with Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer.

This summer, the Nerazzurri must revamp the entire goalkeeping department. While the club is currently negotiating André Onana’s sale to Man United, club captain Samir Handanovic might not earn a new contract.

The Slovenian would thus leave Appiano Gentile as a free agent alongside third-choice custodian Alex Cordaz.

So according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inter have identified Trubin and Sommer as the right combination for next season.

The Ukrainian is one of the most exciting young shot-stoppers in Europe. He rose through the ranks of Shakhtar to become the first choice for his club and country.

On the other hand, the experience Swiss joined Bayern last January to replace the injured Manuel Neuer. But with the latter back in action, Sommer will become surplus to requirements.

As the report explains, the Swiss would serve as a mentor and backup for young Ukrainian. The alternative profiles who could also fill this role are Keylor Navas and Hugo Lloris.

The two veteran custodians are leaving Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur respectively
