Inter Milan are preparing a new, increased offer to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.

This according to UK news outlet The Times, who report that the Nerazzurri are now aiming to sign the 30-year-old Belgian international striker on a permanent deal, and that they are ready to improve their bid to get closer to Chelsea’s £40 million (€40 million) asking price.

So far, Chelsea have rejected Inter’s initial offer for Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri reportedly made an initial bid worth around €25 million to sign the Belgian on a permanent basis. This came after the Blues made perfectly clear that they have no intention of listening to any offers for another loan deal.

However, this offer was not high enough for Chelsea. The Londoners have continued to indicate that they will not budge on the fee they expect for Lukaku.

Inter Milan Ready To Return With Higher Offer To Chelsea For Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea’s insistence on their asking price for Lukaku isn’t causing Inter to give up in the chase, however.

Far from it. The Times report that Inter are already getting ready to launch another bid for the 30-year-old striker.

The UK outlet does not indicate exactly how much higher the Nerazzurri are going to go with the next offer.

However, The Times does make clear that Inter are not going to waste any time. Moreover, their plan is to significantly increase the fee that they will offer.

Inter have received Chelsea’s clear rejection, and they have taken it as a sign to start moving up in their bid.

Both Inter and Lukaku want a deal to happen sooner rather than later.

Accordingly, The Times reports, the Nerazzurri are already pushing their bid up.

They want the next few days to finally be the decisive ones in negotiations with Chelsea.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri’s next offer will be much closer to the Blues’ asking price.
