Inter Milan have offered Chelsea €30 million plus add-ons to finally sign striker Romelu Lukaku back for next season.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on his show moments ago via L’Interista that the Nerazzurri have made a new, increased bid to try and sign the 30-year-old Belgian international.

So far, Chelsea have rejected Inter’s initial offer for Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri made an initial bid worth around €25 million to sign the Belgian on a permanent basis. This came after the Blues made perfectly clear that they have no intention of listening to any offers for another loan deal.

However, the Blues rejected the Nerazzurri’s first cash offer. They still want more money to shake hands on a deal for Lukaku.

Inter have returned with a new bid, however, reports Di Marzio. They have put forward a deal worth €30 million plus add-ons.

Apart from increasing the fixed amount on offer, the add-ons in the deal could prove important.

The Nerazzurri could come a lot closer to Chelsea’s asking price through the inclusion of performance-based add-ons.

New Inter Offer To Chelsea Arrives As Romelu Lukaku Talks Come To A Head

All indications suggest that Inter and Chelsea don’t have a great deal longer to resolve negotiations for Lukaku.

Lukaku has not been a part of Chelesea’s return to training. Chelsea have given the 30-year-old permission to be absent in recognition of ongoing transfer negotiations with Inter.

The Blues understand that there would be little point in having Lukaku in training at this stage when his future is so clearly in the balance.

Moreover, the Belgian has reportedly also told Chelsea that he has no intention of being part of their preseason tour of the US either.

Lukaku wants Inter. And he wants the clubs to hurry up and find an agreement.

And for their part, the Nerazzurri have presented a new offer. Now, the ball looks to be in Chelsea’s court as they mull over this increased bid.

Inter are hoping that this bid can be decisive for getting a deal over the line. They want to make sure they don’t leave the door open for any other clubs, particularly Juventus, to move for Lukaku.
