Inter Milan are expecting today to be the day that Man United put in the decisive offer to sign goalkeeper Andre Onana.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

On Monday, Onana’s reportedly representatives met with United. They worked out terms on a five-year contract for the 27-year-old former Ajax keeper to make the move to Old Trafford.

Now, it is up to Inter and United to find a decisive agreement.

So far, Inter have rejected the offers that the Red Devils have made.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly been holding out for around €60 million to sell Onana. Meanwhile, United’s offer has reportedly not gone beyond €50 million thus far, including all add-ons.

However, Inter are motivated to reach an agreement just as much as United are. The Nerazzurri should be willing to accept an offer worth around €50 million plus significant add-ons.

Inter Milan Expect Man United To Make Offer Today

United want to make absolutely sure that they sign Onana before they depart on their preseason tour of the US next week.

And for their part, Inter will hardly want to have the 27-year-old hanging around in the squad if they know he has one foot out the door.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi suggested yesterday in his preseason press conference that Onana will return to training along with the rest of the squad today.

However, everyone is expecting the former Ajax keeper to depart sooner or later. And the emphasis now is very much on sooner rather than later.

As such, Inter anticipate a new bid from United today.

They also feel that the Red Devils will in all likelihood make the decisive push to sign Onana.

There has now been enough back-and-forth and rejected offers. Inter believe that United’s next bid will be the one that finally unlocks the deal.
