Robin Gosens has made staying at Inter Milan a priority but wants reassurances about playing time next season.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported live on air via FCInter1908 that the German would consider a move to Wolfsburg or Union Berlin for next season, but that he is still aiming to remain at the Nerazzurri for the upcoming campaign.

Gosens is current a player whose future looks up in the air.

Last season, the former Atalanta man never really nailed down a starting place for himself at Inter.

Towards the final months of the campaign, Gosens did regularly start matches, alternating with Federico Dimarco on the left. However, in the most important matches it was virtually always the Italian who got the nod.

For Gosens, playing time will be the priority for next season. The German wants to stake his claim with the German national team.

At the World Cup, Gosens missed out from Die Mannschaft’s squad. This came after he had been behind Dimarco, and before that, Ivan Perisic in the pecking order at Inter.

Robin Gosens Wants To Stay At Inter Milan But Only If He Receives Playing Time

According to Pedulla, Wolfsburg’s interest in Gosens is real.

He confirms that the Bundesliga team are keen to sign the 28-year-old, as are their rivals Union Berlin.

However, Pedulla reports, Gosens prefers a move to Wolfsburg. Despite the fact that Union are in the Champions League and Wolfsburg are not in Europe, the latter have convinced the player with their project on the pitch.

So far, however, Wolfsburg are still far from convincing Inter on a deal.

Pedulla reports that Inter have set the asking price at €20 million for Gosens. Wolfsburg will only go as far as €14 million in their offer to date.

Moreover, Pedulla anticipates, Gosens would in fact prefer to stay put.

However, the former Atalanta wingback will ask Inter for reassurances about his playing time. If the Nerazzurri tell him that he’ll continue to play second fiddle to Dimarco then he’ll prefer a move elsewhere.

However, if Gosens feels that he can play regularly next season, then his decision will be to stay at Inter.
