Man United could pay Inter Milan as much as €57.5 million for goalkeeper Andre Onana with the inclusion of all add-ons.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reveals all the figures involved in the deal on his homepage.

Now it’s really only a matter of time. Onana will officially become a Manchester United player very soon.

The Nerazzurri and the Red Devils have been locked in intense negotiations for the past couple of weeks to get a deal over the line.

Key to making Onana’s transfer happen has been finding a fee that Inter are happy with. The Nerazzurri initially held out for around €60 million according to widespread reports.

Meanwhile, United’s initial offers was reportedly around €40 million. This was still some way from being high enough to satisfy the Nerazzurri.

However, the Premier League giants didn’t dawdle in increasing their bid.

The past couple of weeks have seen United’s offer inch up until it was finally enough for Inter to accept.

Moreover, add-ons have been crucial to getting the Red Devils’ offer up to Inter’s liking. The base amount that United pay will still be some way from what Inter had initially been asking.

However, add-ons can get them right around where the Nerazzurri expect.

Di Marzio: Man United Could Pay Inter Milan Up To €57.5M For Andre Onana

According to Di Marzio, the base fee that United will pay for Onana is €52.5 million.

However, that is before the inclusion of any add-ons.

United could pay as much as €5 million in add-ons in addition to the fixed fee. According to Di Marzio, these add-ons will moreover not be overly difficult to trigger.

Therefore, the final fee for Onana may not be far away from Inter’s initial asking price.

The Nerazzurri have sold the 27-year-old, but not for a small fee by any means.

Inter will cash in significantly on a player who arrived on a free transfer only twelve months ago.
