Inter Milan & Simone Inzaghi Agree Contract Extension

Towards the end of last season, Inzaghi provided a convincing response to his critics as Inter coach.

The 47-year-old guided the Nerazzurri to the Champions League final. In addition, he also helped the team pick up the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana for the second time in as many seasons as Inter coach.

Therefore, it has always looked likely that the former Lazio coach would sign a new deal. Or, at the very least, that the club would offer him one.

However, as of yet, Inzaghi has not put pen to paper on a new contract.

As things stand, the coach’s deal runs out at the end of next June.

Considering that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta has a well-known policy against heading into a season with a coach in such a situation, this has come as a surprise to some.

However, according to Mediaset, the agreement is already in place.

Soon, Inzaghi will put pen to paper on his new deal.
