Inter Milan are preparing an offer worth €30 million to sign Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham United.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the deal for the 24-year-old is not likely far away as the Nerazzurri get their next bid ready.

Talks have heated up greatly between Inter and West Ham for Scamacca in the past few days.

The Nerazzurri have already made their first bid for the Italian international striker. They put around €22 million on the table, plus €3 million in add-ons.

This was not enough to satisfy West Ham’s demands.

The Gazzetta note that the Hammers have set a clear bar at around €29-30 million for Scamacca. This figure is key because it is the amount that would be required for the Londoners not to take a capital loss on the striker.

And according to the Gazzetta, Inter are ready to meet West Ham’s demands.

Inter Milan Ready To Put Forward €30M Offer For West Ham Striker Gianluca Scamacca

In their next offer to the Hammers, the Gazzetta anticipate that Inter will bid around €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

This should be just about enough to wrap things up.

The Hammers are prepared to sell Scamacca for less than they paid for the player twelve months ago.

As long as the fee would be high enough to make up for the value of the player in their balance sheet, the Premier League club will not put up much resistance.

Therefore the Gazzetta report, there’s a good chance that Inter’s next offer will be the decisive one.

Scamacca could become a Nerazzurri player in the not-at-all-distant future.

Inter’s directors have made up their mind. Scamacca represents a player who both meets Simone Inzaghi’s demands for a physically strong centre-forward, but is also a younger player they see as worth investing in.

Now, the deal should happen soon. Inter’s next offer is on the way.
