Gianluca Scamacca has reportedly given his consent to join Inter Milan on a five-year contract this summer.

The 24-year-old signed for West Ham United last summer. However, he endured an underwhelming campaign. The striker couldn’t find the net on a recurring basis and struggled for playing time.

However, he remains an Italian international player who has a strong reputation in his home nation, especially following his exploits at Sassuolo during the 2021/22 campaign.

In recent days, Scamacca emerged as the preferred target to bolster Simone Inzaghi’s attack. The Nerazzurri lost the services of Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko.

Therefore, they still need to sign another new striker to complete the attacking department after acquiring the services of Marcus Thuram for free.

According to FcInterNews, Scamacca has accepted a five-year contract offer from Inter Milan. The striker will earn 3.2 million euros per season.

As the source explains, Atalanta haven’t made any concrete approach for the striker. For his part, Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto tried to contact the player’s agents yesterday.

However, the Giallorossi don’t have the necessary means to launch an onslaught for the striker’s services. Scamacca would reportedly cost 27 or 28 million euros.

For his part, Scamacca contacted his friend and former Sassuolo teammate Davide Frattesi asking for information regarding Inter Milan. The latter joined the Nerazzurri last month.

The new Inter Milan midfielder urged his compatriot to join him at Appiano Gentile.

“Hurry up, I’m expecting you to be my roommate,” said Frattesi jokingly according to the source.
