Robin Gosens is ready to reject the offer or Wolfsburg and wants to stay at Inter Milan this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews.

This summer is not the first transfer window in which Gosens’s future at Inter has looked uncertain.

Despite the fact that the 28-year-old only arrived from Atalanta last January, he has never quite found his best form in a Nerazzurri shirt across the past year and a half.

Moreover, Gosens has never quite cemented the first-choice starting spot on the left flank.

In his first six months at Inter, that position belonged squarely to Ivan Perisic. Then, last season, it was Federico Dimarco rather than Gosens who made the position his own.

The most interest to have come in for Gosens has been from the Bundesliga. And this summer has been no different in that respect.

First, Union Berlin had made an approach.

But it has been Wolfsburg who have looked the most serious about signing Wolfsburg.

SportItalia report that the German team have put forward a bid of a season-long loan containing a conditional €14 million obligation to buy.

Robin Gosens Turns Down Wolfsburg – Wants To Fight For Place At Inter Milan

According to SportItalia, however, Gosens has decided to turn down Wolfsburg’s offer.

The broadcaster explains that ultimately the player has decided that the Bundesliga side’s project does not convince him.

Therefore, despite not getting as much playing time as he hoped for last season, Gosens will stay and try to fight for his place during the upcoming campaign.

Therefore, unless the German has a change of heart, he will stay at Inter for the start of next season.

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Monza’s Carlos Augusto has been Inter’s primary target if Gosens depart.

However, as things stand, that doesn’t look likely.
